Katharine Bourassa along with her husband, Victor Bourassa, created Bourassa

Single Vineyard Exclusive
Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon
Vintage: 2006

Release Date: November 2008
Lot Description:
Up in the clouds and nestled over 800 feet above the valley floor, the red,
rocky volcanic soil of Frias Family Vineyard's Spring Mountain estate brings
enchantment and satisfaction to this extraordinary wine—a concentrated and rich
Spring Mountain Cabernet-based blend from low-yielding old vines planted on
terraces, and younger vines from higher up the mountain slope that produce
intense flavors. This year's exclusive blend also has a sprinkling of juicy,
vibrant Syrah and Merlot with exotic fruit and spice. This wine, despite its
intensity, has a silky texture and excellent structure built for enjoyment soon
after bottling or, for the patient, cellaring and waiting to watch its

Hendry - $147 per
bottle Sold Out
Special Barrel Selection
Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon
Vintage: 2005
Appellation: Napa Valley
Release Date: July 2009
Lot Description:
George Hendry has been a grape grower almost all of his life. As children, he
and his brother picked the grapes from a gnarled, head-pruned vineyard into
wooden boxes to be taken to the monastery for pressing. In 1974, George planted
the Hendry ranch with his own vines. Block 8 Cabernet Sauvignon, which for many
years was part of the famous Opus One bottling, was among those first plantings.
The 32-year-old vines, now twisted and thick, yield grapes that produce an
intense and elegant Cabernet Sauvignon. When we elected to participate in our
first Premiere Napa Valley in 2006, Block 8 came immediately to mind. We are
happy to be able to offer it this year, as well.

36 24 36
Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon
Vintage: 2005
Appellation: St. Helena
Release Date: January 2008
Lot Description:
Some say these numbers add up to the perfect hourglass figure. We say they
result in the perfect hourglass blend. The vineyard itself resides at the
“pinch” of the hourglass-shaped St. Helena appellation, thus its name. It is
comprised of three primary blocks, each making a distinctly compelling wine,
then blended to the perfect proportion. Block A delivers voluptuous, deep black
fruit with brooding anise (36 parts), Block B elicits heady aromas of mint and
eucalyptus (24 parts) and Block C (36 parts) adds supple fruit texture with
earth and mineral-- all balanced with firm acidity to shape this seductive
beauty. The 2005 vintage is the inaugural blend of Hourglass 36 24 36.

MV Touts Dans Le Garage
Varietal: Bordeaux Blend
Appellation: Napa Valley
Release Date: November 2007
Lot Description: “Everything in the Garage” is precisely what you’ll find in this inaugural blend
from a true “garagiste” winemaker. Using each of the five Bordeaux varietals for
the first time in our production history, we tip our hat to the Right Bank (our
inspiration) with 60% Cabernet Franc and an equal 10% each of Merlot, Cabernet
Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Individually selected lots are cold
fermented and aged in New French oak for an average of 20 months. The wine has a
bold, deep garnet hue, brooding dark fruits, leading into a complex,
concentrated palate. Balanced in flavors and acid, the wine recognizes its
lineage to Bordeaux but pays homage to Napa where it was crafted.
